Story

Of all the problems facing humankind, the Atom Bomb is the only one I can think of that's totally under human control. Yet of all the problems we face, the Atom Bomb seems to be the only one we aren't talking about.

The Atombomb Song is written to a catchy little Cajun fiddle tune by Dennis McGee called the Happy One Step.

The intent is to use it as the basis of an add campaign against Atom Bombs. It's a happy tune and I want to use it as a sound track for a video of atomic destruction, mayhem and death. It's meant to be used in 10, 15 and 30 second pieces as TV commercials between shows.

The Atombomb Song is published by Flat Town Music, BMI ... If you want to use it please ask and I will arrange permissions .... johnpalmes@gci.net

Lyrics

The Atombomb Song

Verse 1

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Anyone in the world has their own Atombomb, you got to wonder who they might drop one on, anyone in the world has their own atom bomb.

You got to ask yourself who gets to decide,

where, when, and why would anyone, in the world, want their own atom bomb?

Verse 2

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Just think of all the fingers and all of the triggers

And how every day the risk is bigger,

Someone,  somewhere in the world, will use one of those atombombs.

You’ve got to ask yourself who gets to decide,

Where, when and why would anyone, in the world, want their own Atombomb?

Verse 3

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

And in the event of nuclear attack, would it really be smart to fire back?

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb.

You got to ask yourself who gets to decide? Where, when and why?

Don’t you think it’s time we put away our own atombombs?

Verse 4

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Anyone in the world has their own atom bomb, has their own Atombomb.

Just think of all the fingers and all of the triggers

And how every day the risk is bigger,

Someone,  somewhere in the world, will steal one of those atombombs.

You’ve got to ask yourself who gets to decide, Where, when and why?

Don’t you think it’s time we put away our own atombombs?
